During your first visit with us, we’ll review your medical and dental history and listen to what your goals and desires are for your teeth and smile. Let us know if you are having any pressing dental concerns so that we can address them as soon as possible. One of our dental hygienists will perform a complete and thorough examination of your teeth and gums and take a set of digital x-rays prescribed by your dentist. During your examination, you can expect to undergo a head and neck oral cancer screening, a comprehensive gum assessment and a series of camera photos to help show you how things are going in your mouth. After the examination with your dentist, well clean your teeth and provide you with some tools and samples that will help you keep your teeth as clean and healthy as possible. At the end of the appointment, we’ll discuss your findings and treatment options for you to consider. You can expect to spend approximately two hours with us for your initial examination appointment.
Your first appointment: Please complete our online new patient form to expedite your first appointment. If you are unable to complete the form, please bring your medical history with you to your first appointment, including:
- Name and contact info for your family doctor
- Medical history (conditions, surgeries)
- Your current prescriptions
- Your dental insurance information
